Enrol Now
We are pleased to announce that enrolment applications for Year 7 in 2026 are now open. However, we encourage parents to seriously consider transferring their children to Years 4 & 5 as early as 2024. Such a move should be considered for two reasons:
- It is in the child’s best interest to consolidate their learning and enrich their literacy and numeracy skills at St Sava College Primary in preparation for High School.
- Children who complete their primary education at St Sava College are guaranteed a place in Year 7.
To complete an ENROLMENT APPLICATION click here. An application fee of $100 must be received for your application to be considered complete. Upon receipt, written confirmation will be sent to the applicant. If you have not received a response from the College within 14 days of applying, please contact the College at registrar@stsava.nsw.edu.au.
Storms, thunder, lightning, torrential rain and a power outage did not dampen the spirits of the many that attended our Christmas Eve service earlier this evening . A blessed Nativity Feast to all. Christ is Born! Hristos se Rodi.

Badnje Veče (Serbian Cyrillic: Бадње Вече) is a Serbian Orthodox Christmas Eve celebration. Here's a brief history and overview: # History and Traditions 1. _Ancient Roots_: The celebration has its roots in ancient Slavic customs, which were later incorporated into Orthodox Christian traditions. 2. _Name Origin_: The name "Badnje Veče" comes from the Serbian word "badnjak," meaning "Christmas Eve" or "Yule log." 3. _Date_: Badnje Veče is celebrated on Christmas Eve, January 6th, according to the Julian calendar used by the Serbian Orthodox Church. # Traditions and Customs 1. _Blessing of the Badnjak_: A Yule log, typically from an oak tree, is blessed by a priest in a church ceremony. 2. _Singing and Music_: Traditional Christmas songs and hymns are sung during the celebration. 3. _Family Gatherings_: Families gather together for a festive meal, often featuring traditional Serbian dishes. 4. _Gift-Giving_: Gifts are exchanged, especially among children. 5. _Charity and Kindness_: The celebration emphasizes the importance of charity, kindness, and generosity. # Modern Celebrations Badnje Veče is still widely celebrated in Serbia and among Serbian diaspora communities around the world. The tradition has been preserved and passed down through generations, blending ancient customs with Christian values.
Today we celebrate the feast day of St Nicholas the Wonderworker. In collaboration with St Nicholas Mission, our students show love and generosity to others, following in the footsteps of Sveti Nikola, by donating toys to our Annual Christmas Appeal. Thanks be to God! 🙏🏻
