Building of the new Primary School is due to begin in March 2024. Cost of construction stands at $6M. A Government Grant of $2M has been approved and the College will borrow a further $3M from a financial institution. The remaining $1M must be raised by the College. $500K is set aside in secured funds. The remaining $500K we have divided into two fundraising drives.
Our $250K Christmas Fundraising Target began last month and we are pleased to announce that in the space of only 5 weeks just over $180,000 has been raised. We aim to reach this target by mid-January 2024, before embarking on the home run. Let us be very clear – Government funding and borrowing capacities only become active when the College has its $1M sitting in the bank account. Help us get to $250k by Christmas!
We have over 150 students enrolled in the coming school year. Our two stream Kindergarten classes have waiting lists all the way to 2029. Four modular classrooms have been erected to cope with demand and we encourage the community to support fundraising initiatives which will see the brand-new Primary School built in time for the 2025 school year.
